Town Garden, South Woodford
Our initial site survey, including trace drawings, recommended completing the garden in stages.
Moreover the plan suggested that the garden be divided it into four areas.
- Area one: A new raised bed with appropriate planting and a gravel path plus step paving as an addition.
- Area Two: Two new planting areas at the bottom of the patio area to offset the lawn, with appropriate plants.
- Area Three: A landscaped growing area on the patio. A central tree plus border planting and a new lawn/turf to connect with the main lawn.
- Area Four: Bespoke plant containers with climbers and grasses. A connecting trellis for privacy along the patio fence.
The garden required extensive change, but we were able to retain many of the mature elements.
Existing border plants and trees were pruned and shaped.
Finally we added new planting that fit in sympathetically with the design of the garden.
