Salisbury House, Grade ii listed building

Salisbury house is a grade ii, late Tudor manor house built in the early 17th century. The house was Enfield’s first arts centre opened in 1957 and continues to be a base for community use and arts projects.

Our assessment: the garden had been neglected for some time and was under used by visitors and centre users, we agreed to develop an area of the garden as phase one of the design process. We continue to provide a garden curator role here as the garden continues to expand.

Design and Build: We created a seating area from which island beds provide access to other areas of the garden, a pavillion for climbers and a woodland area for the community to engage in environmental projects.

This included native species of trees and plants to complete the scheme.
